It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lestea Sanders (Smithfield, North Carolina), who passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Sanders and Christine H. Sanders; and his brother Jimmy Ray Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Sanders of Raleigh Nc; his daughters, Kimberly Sanders of Garner Nc and Tomeka Sanders of Selma; his grandchildren, Sterling, Zaquan, Alexus and Edward J. Mosley; his brother Paul Sanders Leo Sanders (Rebecca); and his sister-in-law Jerelene Sanders. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
