It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lina M. Sanders-Johnson (Smithfield, North Carolina), who passed away on May 31, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Oliver C. Johnson Jr.; her daughter Yvette Sanders Dunston; her stepchildren, Maria Baietti, Shani Nelson and Oliver C. Johnson III; her stepgrandchildren, Brent Callum, Chris Nelson Jr. and Skye Cotton; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Troy and Nyla Callum; and her siblings, Johnnie McCullers, Edna Walker, Kittrell McCullers and Geraldine Bryant. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
