She was predeceased by: her parents, Turner Carter Leggett, Jr. and Fannie Elizabeth Bowen Leggett. She is survived by: her sons, Travis Lee Shaver of Garner and Eric Matthew Shaver (Melanie Shaver) of Garner; her close friend Rick Lasarsky of Smithfield; her siblings, Turner Carlyle Leggett (Margaret) of Clarksville, VA, Susan Taylor, Richie Cumbea, Lue Gaudlitz (Gordon) of Chesterfield, VA and Margaret "Liz" Himes of Chesterfield, VA; her grandchildren, Danessa Whitley, Leanna Whitley, Jordan Shaver, Sadie Shaver and Elowyn Shaver; and her great grandchildren, Liam Valentin, Delilah Valentin and Layla Worney.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smithfield Recreation & Aquatics Center (600 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577).
