It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth White Mitchener (Smithfield, North Carolina), born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Edward D. White (Gloria), Henry White, Jr., Charles L. White, Sr, Sylvia Whitley Wilson Mills (Cornell) and Vivian Leggett; and her daughter-in-law Maxine Mitchener of Raleigh, NC. She was also cherished by 21 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great, Great Grandchildren.
