It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelda Sue Haswell of Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Campbell and Luther Campbell; her husband Harold Haswell; her daughter Karen Coley; and her sister Shirley Campbell.
She is survived by: her daughter Cora Bridges; her brother Hugh Campbell (Evelyn); her grandchildren, Patricia Coley, Chris Bridges, Jessie Bridges and Kelley Barbour; and her great grandchildren, Aaliyah Andrews, Crysta Bridges, Gage Andrews, Camden Snead and Elauna Barbour.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vision Church (7369 US-301, Lucama, NC 27851).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield.
