He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norwood West, Sr. and Anna Pollock West Mr. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Boyd West; his sons, Ronald B. West, Jr. (Patricia) and Jason Landrum West (Tanya); his grandchildren, Dylan Tristan West (Elizabeth), Robert Cannon West, Anna Gail West and Savanna Jane West; and his great grandchild Genevieve Andrea West.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First Christian Church (1001 S Crescent Dr, Smithfield, NC 27577).
