She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sanders and Phoebe Atkinson; and her brother Joseph Bernard Sanders. She is survived by: her sons, Deacon Ernest Todd Thompson and Bishop Terrence Thompson (Denise); her grandchildren, Justin Thompson (Imani), Zoe Thompson and Micah Thompson; and her sister Mother Callis Hilliard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
