She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harvey Gilmore and Viola Strickland Gilmore; her husband Howard Levison Mills, Sr.; her grandson Dameon Mills; and her siblings, Ravon Gilmore, Nelson Gilmore, Evelyn Gilmore, Brenda Rhodes and Viola Teenie Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Christian, Howard Levison Mills, II and Wendy Friel; her grandchildren, Aaron Mills (Cheyenne), Travis Mills (Crystal) and Amber Mills; her great grandchildren, Rachiel Wilson (Seth), Nikki Mills, Caleb Mills, Natalie Mills, Jerry Wilson (Kalina) and Billy Ray Christian, Jr.; and her great great grandchild Hudson Wade Wilson.
A reception was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Casey Funeral Home & Cremations (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569).
