He was predeceased by: his father Claude Oliver Harris; and his brother Doug Harris. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Broughton Harris of Selma; his sons, Tommy Harris of Smithfield and Scottie Harris of Selma; and his sisters, Louise Gilmore (Jerry) of Clayton and Sue Myatt (Jerry) of Garner.
