He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Sutton Sr. and Adele Stancil Sutton; his son Kenneth Sutton; and his siblings, Calvin Sutton Jr. and Rematha Sutton.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Pamela Sutton; his children, Angela Sutton, Terrance Sutton Sabrina Sutton, Michael Edwards, Louis Turner, Allen (Jamar), Terry Oakley and Fernell Oakley; and his sisters, Frances McClain (Jimmy) and Alice "Teresa" George (Calvin). He is also survived by his family and friends.
