He was predeceased by: his father Alcie Daniel Register; and his brother Dan Register. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Johnson Register of Smithfield; his sons, Kenneth Register (Laura) of Ellicott City, MD and Kevin Register (Janell) of Troy, OH; his sister Brenda Ham of Mocksville; and his grandchildren, Ashley Bilger, Ryan Register, Hailey Register, Addison Register, Ragan Register and Emma Grace Register.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Johnston Health Foundation PO Box 1376 Smithfield, NC 27577 Attn: Hospice Fund.
