He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Mickens Sr. and Mary Simmons Mickens (Clara Jackson Mickens); and his sisters, Eva Godwin, Georgia Bradford and Lucy Mae Russell (Joseph).
He is survived by: his children, Barbara M. King (Gregory), Eva M. Spicer (Keefe), William Mickens III (Von), Latonya Livingstone (Annie "Goosey" Brockington), Angela Darden (Andre), Serdella, Alphonso and Alonzo; his siblings, Thurman Mickens (Ruby), Josephine Brooks (Willie), Brenda Mickens, Mary M. Gulley (Jerry) and Lavearn Olowni (James); and his brothers-in-law, King Godwin and Leon Bradford. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
