She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Leray Joy and Bernice Joy (Small); her husband Clifford Owens Sr.; her son Cliff Jr.; and her brother Hubert Joy.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Liverman, Michael Owens, Victoria Beatty and Lee Pensmith; her sister Helen Mylan; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Owens and Ray Owens. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
