It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Teachey Walton of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, born in Burgaw, North Carolina, who passed away on April 4, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Ralph Teachey and Exie Teachey; her brother Ed Teachey; her spouse Monk Walton; her children, Sherry Walton-Johnson (Mark), Ralph P. Walton (Rhonda) and Helen Sherwood Walton (Paul Horton); and her grandson Wyatt James Horton. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at 776 State Hwy 210, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Ms. Helen's longtime support for the health and well-being of children.
