The memory of John K. Echo of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2026 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Echo and Lillian Wharton Echo; his wife Virginia R. Echo; his stepdaughter Judy Slinger; and the mother of his children Jean Shepard Echo.
He is survived by: his children, Jerri Echo (Rebecca Troye), Mary Echo, John Echo (Wendy) and William Echo; his stepdaughter Peggy Wald (Bob); and his close friend Ellen Singletary.
