With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Midgett Jr. of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2026 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Louis leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Louis may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Joshua (Jannean); his stepsons, Steven and David Wells; and his siblings, Sherry Cowperthwaite (Daniel), Barbara Brown (John) and Michael (Loretta). He is also survived by four step grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
