He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Barie Shekey; his wife Tammy Moss Shekey; his sons, Ryan Shekey (Kaitlan) and Michael Shekey; his grandsons, Grayson, Lucas and Henry; and his brothers, Scott Shekey (Katie), Christopher Shekey and Jeffery Shekey (Terri). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He never met a stranger, loved people and did charity work.
