She was predeceased by : her parents, Catherine Cartwright Reed and Jesse James Reed; her siblings, Catherine Gatton, Corlin Bunny Wegner, Patricia Netz, Darlene Crow, Lorretta Janie Rager, Dale Reed of Delaware, Michael Reed of Delaware and Jesse Eddie Reed of Delaware; and her close friend Fred Thompson.

She is survived by : her children, Christine McGinley of Sneads Ferry, Roxann Glass of Hancock, MD, Ronald Divel, Sr. of Warfordsburg, PA, Robert Divel, Jr. of Hancock, MD and Jacklyn McCusker of Needmore, PA.; and her grandchildren, Amy Stotler of Berkeley Springs, WV, Amanda Ashley of Jacksonville, Arthur Ashley Jr. of Fort Mills, SC, Ronald Divel, Jr. of Frederick, MD, Bradley Divel of Berkeley Springs, WV, Josh Sipes of Warfordsburg, PA, John Glass, Jr. of Berkeley Springs, WV, Bille Jean Sipes of Warfordsburg, PA and Mitchell Divel of Warfordsburg, PA. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Holly Ridge (207 N Dyson St, Holly Ridge, NC 28445). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
