He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil McLaughlin and Captola McLaughlin; and his sister Betty. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Joey McLaughlin (Tammy) and Rachel Ann McLaughlin (Gary); his stepson Stephen James (Lesley); his siblings, Charles McLaughlin and Carrol Werner; his grandchildren, Ashley Abode, Emily Koonce and Clayton James; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Amelia, Abigail, Piper and Jonah.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to Catalyst Church Jacksonville.
