She was predeceased by: her parents, Waldo Thompson and Josie Hill Fulcher Thompson; and her brother Glover Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Eddie Gore (Stacey) of Sneads Ferry, Teddie Gore (Ala) of Winterville and Amanda Hill (Dale) of Clayton; and her grandchildren, Brianna Gore of Raleigh, Daniel Gore (Kendra) of Zebulon, Emma Tyler (Nick) of Wilmington, Chloe Mitchell (Braiz) of Sneads Ferry, Hayley Gore of Wilmington, Joshua Gore of Winterville, Hannah Williamson (Adam) of Archer Lodge and Micah Hill of Clayton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Sneads Ferry.
