He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Cornett and Lou Cinda Cornett; his wife Evalene Caudill Cornett; his son Don K. Cornett; and his great grandchildren, Evan Cornett and Ryan Cornett.
He is survived by: his sons, Glenn C. Cornett (Cathy) of Mebane and Darvin L. Cornett (Donna) of Snow Camp; his sister-in-law Betty Tingle of Elon; his grandchildren, John Cornett (Beth) of Burlington, Nicole Cornett of Burlington, Marc Cornett (Brittany) of Stedman and Rebekah Dawkins (Lance) of Burlington; and his great grandchildren, Ethan Cornett, Gavin Cornett, Jax Dawkins, Nate Dawkins and Erin Cornett.
