She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Mary Ruth Hamilton; her stepfather Charles Edward Hamilton; her significant other Juan Monroy; her grandson Chase William Johnson; her sisters, Diane Moore, Brenda Knight (Robert) and Penny Ruth McAteer (Tim); her sons, James E. Johnson and Douglas W. Johnson; her sister Linda Kinney; and her brother-in-law Gary Moore. She was also cherished by five nephews; and three nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home (306 Glenwood Ave, Burlington, NC 27215). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery (3505 Chestnut Ridge Church Rd, Efland, NC 27243).
