He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Sumrell and Velma Hart Sumrell; his brother Samuel William Sumrell (SW); his nephew Wesley Sumrell; and his close friend Craig Hill.
He is survived by : his wife Stacy Lewis Sumrell; his children, Ricky Sumrell, John Forbes (Kelly), Jennifer Fields (Pat) and Cody Sumrell (Lea); his sister Faye Mckeel (Wilbert); and his grandchildren, Josh Nichols, Zachery Nichols, Jadan Fields, Kaylee Fields, Jesse Sumrell, Aaron Sumrell, Nathan Sumrell, Sydney Sumrell and Kyra Tyndall.
