He was predeceased by : his parents, Guy Davis and Annie Kearney Davis; his wife Jean Kearney Davis; and his brother Noah Lee Davis. He is survived by : his daughter Barbara Davis Pate (Frank) of Snow Hill; his siblings, Joyce Davis Creech (Cliff) of Snow Hill, Raymond Davis (Myrtle) of Dudley and Robert Davis (Dianne) of Snow Hill; his grandchildren, Berry Pate (Lauren) of Snow Hill and Amanda Pate of Snow Hill; his great grandchildren, Henry Pate and J. B. Pate; and his sister-in-law Nina Davis of Micro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Harrell's Chapel Ofwb Church (1505 North Carolina Hwy 58, Snow Hill, NC 28580). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
