She was predeceased by: her mother Nettie Thompson Winders; her husbands, Carl Listen Hargrove and Lonnie Carson Kearney; and her children, Joyce Carol Fariss and Dennis Keith Hargrove.
She is survived by: her sons, Carl Lester Hargrove (Amanda) of Stantonsburg and Eric Shane Kearney (Amy) of Elm City; her stepson Allen Kearney of Snow Hill; her sisters, Geraldine Deaver of Mount Olive and Melba Rouse of Mount Olive; her grandchildren, Jason Fariss, Christy Kearney Ramirez (Jose), Travis Hargrove, Chris Hargrove, Brandon Hargrove, Jacob Carson Kearney, Hannah Ray and Zach Ray; her great grandchildren, Ethan Fariss, Reese Hargrove Avery, Marissa Ramirez and Alaina Ramirez; and her friend James "Buddy" Forehand.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service (117 NW 3rd St, Snow Hill, NC 28580). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Eureka Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faro Chapel PFWB Church, 3616 Big Daddy's Road, Fremont, NC 27830.
