He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman "Bye" Head and Esther Chase Head; his brothers, Jimmy Ray Head and Lloyd "Howard" Head; and his niece Wanda Kay Smith.
He is survived by: his brothers, George Head, Tommy Head (Katie) and Donny Head (Sheryl); and his sister-in-law Shirley Head of Snow Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Snow Hill Cemetery (1112 Kingold Blvd, Snow Hill, NC 28580).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Norman's memory to the Eastern NC School for the Deaf, 1311 Highway 301 S., Wilson, NC 27893.
