We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2025, at the age of 88, Atkinson Jc of Sophia, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Atkinson and Carrie Cox Atkinson; his wife Betty Louise Carlton Atkinson; and his siblings, Jimmy Atkinson, Layton Atkinson, Glady Allen, Margaret Ondovcsik, Sarah Lee, Doris Wood, Gertrude Atkinson and Helen Crawford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Robin Douglas (Mike) of Sophia and Lynn Hope (Steve) of Archdale; his grandchildren, Joseph Douglas and Logan Freeman (Justin); his great grandchildren, Harper Leigh Freeman and River June Freeman; and his sister Ann Hicks.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wright Chapel (10508 N Main St, Archdale, NC 27263).
