He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney Edison Routh, Sr. and Helen Pauline Harper Routh; and his wife Linda Ingold Routh. He is survived by: his children, Lynn Routh (Shannon) of Sophia, Jimmy Routh of Asheboro and Lisa Routh (Jeff) of Sophia; his sister Peggy Routh Newton of Asheboro; and his grandchildren, Camryn Yates (Riley), Hunter Routh, Peyton Routh, Justin Kearns and Tyler Kearns.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
