It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Byrd Clark of Sophia, North Carolina, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Masouras and Zetta Masouras; her daughters-in-law, Linda Byrd and Julie Byrd; and her great grandchildren, Michael David Byrd and Samantha Fay.
She is survived by: her children, Stan Byrd Sr. and Rebecca Turmel (Roland); her grandchildren, Mark Byrd (Evie), Rodney Byrd (Laura), Stan Byrd Jr., Michael Byrd, Todd Byrd, Amanda Fay and Rachel Reich; her great grandchildren, Dr. Jon Byrd, Nick Byrd, Sarah Byrd, Justin Byrd, Sydney Byrd, Lindsay Byrd, Trey Byrd, Ayden Byrd, Avery Byrd and Layla Fay; her great great grandchildren, Bennett Byrd, Jena Byrd, Oakleigh Ann, Banks Byrd, Tate Byrd, Chesney Davis, Jackson Byrd, Lynol Bogden and Salem Byrd; her cousins, Connie and Harry Kledaras; her friend Gray Cleary; and her caregiver Cindy Riley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumby Family Funeral Service - Archdale (206 Trindale Rd, Archdale, NC 27263). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Floral Garden Park Cemetery (1730 W English Rd, High Point, NC 27262).
