He is survived by: his wife Janet Williamson Gray; his sister Shelma Hammond of Greensboro, NC; his sons, James "Jim" Akines (Chelsea) of Sophia, NC and Joshua Akines (Kylie) of Sophia, NC; his grandchildren, Timmy, Mia, Aaron, Cooper, Declan and Paisley; and his nieces, Victoria Coble (Shane) and Catherine Goetz (Stefan). He is also survived by his family, friends and also his four-legged fur buddies.
