She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Charles Steele, Sr. and Hazel Mae Isley Steele; her son Johnny Lee Potts; her brothers, Gary Lee and James Michael "Mike" Steele; her half-sister Norma Jean "Sissy" Presnell; her granddaughters, Melissa Dawn Garner and Kristy Dawn Presnell; her daughter-in-law Eva Alice Potts; and her in-laws, Wille Gray Potts and Louise Potts Craven.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Ann Potts Cole (Roger) of Asheboro, Frankie Dean Potts (Amber) of Seagrove and Eddie Monroe Potts of Lexington; her siblings, Luther Charles "Butch" Steele, Jr. of Archdale and Frances "Frannie" Rose (Carlyle) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Matthew Garner, Chance Monroe, Ava Grace Potts, Emily and Hailey Potts; her great grandchildren, Noel Kirsten, Lavodaga Pearl Ann and Acesa Jaida Lecessity; her grandchildren, Christian Joel (Ally), Joel Thomas and Achilles Justice Fesperman; her great great grandchild Amelia Dawn Fesperman; and her former husband Robert Lee "Bob" Potts of Hickory Grove. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
