He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee; his wife Jane Barton Thomas; and his siblings, Inez, Norma, Thelma, Lillian (Cory), Henry and Willard.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Kuykendall (Charles) of South Carolina, Russell Allen Thomas (Denise) of Pinehurst, Donna Jane Palme (William) of Sanford and Robin Lynn Waters (Michael) of Sanford. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bernie Thomas to Shriners Children Hospital.
