June V. Cooper Obituary
We announce the death of June V. Cooper of Southern Pines, North Carolina, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 90. June will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. June will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew June will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. June’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She is survived by: her brother Charles Gauzza; and her children, Chris Cooper (Margaret), Janet Riffitts (Frank) and Lynn Loftus (John). She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pine Knoll Chapel (590 Central Dr, Southern Pines, NC 28387).
