He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Irvine Sr. and Violet Pritchard Irvine. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Campbell (Charles); his wife Rae Irvine; his daughters, Alison Irvine and Cara Monroe (Jonathan); his mother-in-law Lucille Adcock; and his son-in-law Ed Adcock.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (200 E New York Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (lls.org) or Young Life (younglife.org) in Nelson's honor.
