With solemn reverence, we commemorate Opal Sims of Southern Pines, North Carolina, born in Beverly, Kentucky, whose life came to an end on July 8, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Sims; her sister Lucy Arnett; her children, Steve Sims (Maren Anderson), Susan McKibben (Brian) and Dan Sims (Ginger); and her granddaughters, Jami Tobias, Stephanie Sims, Katy Sims, Emma Sims, Kea McKibben and Annie Sims.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (200 E New York Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387).
