He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Zang (Hippel) and Victor E. Zang; his wife Joyce Brinkman; his sister Nona; his brother-in-law John C. Kartholl; and his nephew David Kartholl.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Steven Kartholl, Vicki Peters, Daniel Kartholl, Ruth Myers, Carolyn Baker and Linda Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and 26 great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (300 Dundee Rd, Pinehurst, NC 28370).
