He is survived by: his wife Lucille Gilchrist McLaughlin; his children, Sharon McLaughlin Russ, Carl McLaughlin, Willie McLaughlin (Darlean), James Wesley McLaughlin (Ava) and Jerry McLaughlin (Brenda); his children-in-law, Linda McLaughlin, Deborah DeBerry, Shelia McLaughlin, Carrie McRae and Juan Russ; his sisters-in-law, Thelma G. Seymour, Pauline G. McKayhan and Reva G. McNair; and his grandchildren, Melinda, Wendy, Christopher, Wesley Jarrell, Latoya, Nedra, Willie Jr. "Will", Whitney, Nicholas, Candace, Juan II and Joi. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
