He is survived by : his children, Andrea Bittle (Robert) of Durham, NC, Chris Haussmann (Karen) of Salisbury, NC, Eric Haussmann (Nancy) of Charlottesville, VA and Amy Vos (Mike) of Graham, NC; his grandchildren, Austen Bittle, Jenni Vos, William Haussmann, Chris Bittle, Ryan Haussmann, Alex Vos, Billy Vos, KC Ervin, Todd Haussmann, Reid Bittle, Meg Bittle, Caroline Vos and Addie Vos; his great grandchildren, Max Haussmann, Peter Haussmann, Lydia Bittle and Max Vos; his brother-in-law Lee Freeman; his nephew Kent Freeman; his nieces, Samantha Freeman and Soosie Skinner; his great-nephew Tom Fetzer; and his great-niece Susan Vick.
