He is survived by: his wife Delores Kennedy Smith; his children, Scott Smith (Andrea) of Greenville, SC and Lori Scarlett (Lance) of Rutherfordton, NC; his grandchildren, Chris Scarlett (Cassie), Samuel Scarlett (Mary), Lily Smith, Eli Scarlett (Hailey) and Clay Smith; and his great grandchildren, Rylan, Lincoln, Kashyn, Gwendolyn, Wren, Adeline and Lily.
