He is survived by: his daughter Vicky; his wife Roberta Webb Spencer; his daughter Eve Spencer; his grandsons, Ben Thornberry and Gavin Clark; his sons, Bill Spencer and Liam Spencer; his grandchildren, Aerial Spencer and Lizzy Blade (George Chestnut); his stepchildren, Matt Knowles, Calvin Knowles, Stacy Ogburn (Kevin) and Christina Mayse (Andrew); his stepgrandchildren, Taylor and Madison; his stepson Bill Faison; his stepgranddaughter Nora; his children, Tom Secore and Jennifer Herrington; Cole Langlois and Owen Langlois.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Grace Episcopal Church (419 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 22nd 2026 from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM at 1379 Edgar Basham Ln, Irvington, KY 40146.
