He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael DeSarno and Camilla DeSarno; and his brother Robert DeSarno. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his daughter Jillian Kristick; his son-in-law Kevin Kristick of Myrtle Beach; his son Anthony DeSarno of San Diego; his brothers, Michael DeSarno and William DeSarno (Anne); and his sister-in-law Jane DeSarno. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
