With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Virgil Stark of Southport, North Carolina, born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on February 24, 2026 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his wife Marie T. "Maureen" Stark; his children, John, Sheri and Patricia; and his grandson Steven. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Island Evangelical Presbyterian Church (1503 E Oak Island Dr, Oak Island, NC 28465).
