Merrifield; his children, Judy Cardella (Mike) of Southport, Mark Merrifield (Carolyn) of Sebastian, FL and Matthew Merrifield of Delanco, NJ; his grandchildren, Michael Cardella, Danielle Kanters, Maxx Rizzi and Madison Rizzi; his great grandchildren, Fenna and Flora Kanters; and his stepson Robert Rizzi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
