With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irma Baucom Tapp of Southport, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willam R. Baucom and Irma Gunter Baucom; her son Louis Anthony Tapp; her great grandchild Bailey Elizabeth Smith; and her siblings, Rebecca Beaman, Ann Olds, Patty Garrett, Rachel Cheek, Roy Baucom, Jr., James Baucom, Leonard Baucom and Pete Baucom.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Tapp; her children, Eddie Tapp (Jackie), David Tapp (Camille), Janet Rockenhauser, Karen Clayton (Will) and Steven Tapp; her grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron Tapp, Joseph Aprea, Tiffany Smith, David Hunter Tapp, Matthew, Adam Rockenhauser and Allison Clayton; her sister Linda Rocker; and her sister-in-law Virginia Robinson. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hudson Funeral Home (211 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
