With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jon H. Roethke of Southport, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Roethke and Mabel Roethke; and his grandson Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Williams Roethke; his children, Jon Roethke (Maria), Mary Weaver (David), William Roethke (Melinda), Peter Roethke (Meghan), Anne Oller (Jay), Christopher Roethke (Cheryl), Katherine Pestrichelli (Jim), Matthew Roethke (Shelia), Clare Ramirez (Ralph) and Elizabeth McCallum (Adam); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Katie, Erik, Michael, Christine, Allie, Carlie, Billy, Hope, Patty, Jenny, Chris, Sarah, Emma, Abby, Kevin, Matthew, Will, Gillian, Shannon, Christian, Erin and Kelly; his great grandchildren, Elliot and Lainey; and his brother W. Steven Roethke.
