He was predeceased by: his parents, William Overaker and Gertrude Overaker; his wife Helen Dezern Overaker; his son Robert Overaker; his granddaughter Sara Overaker; and his brothers, Ronald and Thomas Overaker.
He is survived by: his daughter Diane Renee Overaker; his grandchildren, Kari Overaker, David Overaker, Mark Overaker, Mallory Walker (Matthew) and Trevor Cecil (Holly); his great grandchildren, Bryanna Yarborough, Braylin Overaker and Layla Whitaker; and his sisters, Peggy Berryhill (Lee), Judy McGhee and Phyllis Ross (George).
