Stephen Robert Prout Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Robert Prout (Southport, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William (May) and Michael; his siblings, William, Robert, Kathleen and Susan; and his brother-in-law James Haley.

He is survived by: his wife Annette; his sons, Keith and John (Kayla); his brother Danny (Ringgey); his siblings-in-law, John (Kathy), Robert (Christine) and Julia; and his granddaughters, Brooklynn and Zooey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh or Lower Cape Fear LifeCare (Hospice).
