She was predeceased by: her parents, John Crigger and Effie Crigger; her husband James Gibson; her grandsons, Kevin Eldridge, James Eric Gibson and Logan Gibson; and her siblings, Monroe Crigger, Donald Crigger and Elizabeth Whittington.
She is survived by: her sister Virginia Roberts; her children, James Gibson (Lynn) of Sparta, NC, Pamela Lafferty (Michael) of Sparta, NC and Penny Wagg of Sparta, NC; and her sister-in-law Shirley Gibson of Bramwell, WV.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (3410 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
