It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Easterling of Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Lewis Porter, Sr. and Annie Wagoner Porter; and her sister Peggy Porter Hayslett. She is survived by: her sons, Lee Easterling (Karen) of Lexington, KY and Shann Martin Easterling of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Rachel Lee Easterling (Travis Teachy) and Nicholas Edward Easterling (Bethany Lawrence); and her siblings, Samuel Lewis Porter, Jr. (Marian) of Galax, VA and Marylou Porter of Sparta. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alleghany County Rescue Squad, PO Box 351, Sparta, N.C. 28675.
