She was predeceased by: her parents, Colonel Clay Brown and Wilma Ruth Rector Brown. She is survived by: her husband Cecil Douglas; her children, Mark Sanders (Jennifer) of Statesville, Robert Sanders (Kelly) of Statesville and Renee Sanders of Troutman; her stepdaughter Amanda Kalman (Julius) of Fleetwood; her grandchildren, Maci, Clay, Chloe, Kiersten and Alivia; and her pet Benji.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel (44 Dan Walters Dr, Independence, VA 24348). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
